Easy Off Grid Living - Free Electricity at Home is Now Available

Recently, an increasing number of people are coming to realize that you can still enjoy modern amenities whilst benefiting from the the independence of off grid living. Being 'off the grid' is exactly what it says - no power lines, no electric bills, and being free of utility bills, which, as we all know, means being away from their ever-increasing rates - a pleasant thought indeed.
Off grid living is environmentally friendly and cost effective way to run your home and it is most definitely an option available to almost any homeowner.
The principles of off grid living can easily be applied to any home wherever you are the world, even to those of us currently tied to the grid. From solar panels and windmills, there is rapidly growing interest in living off grid and escaping the more traditional fuel generating methods such as the fossil fuel burning power plants. Technologies in wind and solar have advanced enormously and the really great point to make here is that the costs are amazingly cheap.
With a little know-how and dedication along with quality resources and manuals, going off grid is a definite reality for all of us. As energy demands continue to increase globally, those living off grid can rest easy knowing their own energy costs are quite literally a thing of the past.
The concept of off grid living can be a little daunting to those who believe they may have to give up some of their favourite electronic gadgets to achieve such freedom. However, this is absolutely not the case. By moving off grid and generating your own self sustaining power at home, you can continue to comfortably carry on life as usual provided the unit you build is adequate to sustain your requirements. The chances are, you'll be generating hundreds of hours worth of electricity and eventually you will no doubt forget how you're even managing it!
Wanting to become part of the Off Grid Living adventure, doesn't always mean giving up everything, sometimes it just means getting smarter about the things you have and the way you work.

Windmill Parts - A Brief Overview, Explained

Have you made the decision to build your own windmill electricity? Many people the world over are now taking advantage of the wind to produce electricity at their homes.
However, windmill turbines will require some basic and simple maintenance over the years.
Therefore, to help you along your way, I want to show you some of the windmill parts which will make up your electric windmill:
Tower - This can be made of wood on smaller windmills and it is what holds the windmill up into the air.
Blades - Usually a home windmill will have 2 blades. However, to gain more energy, you may add another 1 or 2 blades to your windmill.
Generator - This is main body that actually produces the electrical power.
Anemometer - This measures the speed and strength of the wind which will in turn, determine how fast the blades are rotating.
Pitch - Pitch is the "tilt" of the blades, or the angle that the blades are at. These must be set to specific angles.
Rotor - The rotor is usually attached to the generator shaft and it is what the blades and hub are attached to.
Wind Vane - This is the "tail" that ensures the windmill is pointed into the wind. Important for maximum power generation.
Remember - these are very basically the windmill parts required for you to build your own unit at home.
There are others of course but these are the most important one you will need to know about. Further details are available in the build manuals.
If you have been considering building your own electric windmill for your home or business, you could not choose a more simple alternative home energy source. You can literally save thousands on your bills and help protect the environment at the same time.

Permanent Magnet Generator - Benefits Revealed on This Simplistic Technology

A permanent magnet generator can sound rather complicated yet intriguing - do you know what it is? Well, actually I can tell you that it is not quite as complicated as it sounds. It's much simpler than you would think!
Let me tell you this:
Magnets produce magnetic power - everyone knows that much right? The fact that you can stick a magnet to your refrigerator will tell you that there is energy within a magnet. Well, the result is that we can use this magnetic energy to create electricity at home with a permanent magnet generator.
This type of ingenious yet simplistic technology for home energy has a number of great benefits and I would like to share these with you right here.
So what will these benefits be....
The biggest saving will for certain be your electric bill. It's easy to slash your bills by half or more and in certain circumstances; you could even eliminate your electric bills completely. Here, you have a fantastic opportunity to move away from the over inflated electric prices and generate your own free power at home.
Another tremendous benefit is that a permanent magnet generator is very easy and safe to build. I initially feared the creation of electricity was a complex and technical task and I could understand it if you think this too. However, do not worry yourself - it really is quite simple and safe to do.
A permanent magnet generator is also self sufficient. That is to say that it requires no external power source to operate itself on. This means that it runs on its own energy and therefore doesn't rely on anything to power it!
Provided you follow a Quality Build Guide, you can very quickly and easily build your own permanent magnet generator and harness the most natural energy of them all - magnetic energy.
Remember - you could literally slash your electric bills in half or even totally eliminate them

Build Windmills For Electricity

Are you looking to build an electricity generating windmill to produce free electrical power for your home? Well, you wouldn't be the first! Many people have realized the significant benefits to their electric bills by building and installing home made windmills for electricity.

Building windmills for electricity is not difficult but you must follow the instructions of a good build guide.

Ideally, you will need to have some basic DIY skills in order to successfully complete your windmill project. However, do not be too concerned if you are a complete novice, as many people have still managed to proceed with their projects and successfully build windmills for electricity.

The total amount of power that your home will require will be calculated by using a high quality guide which you can download from the Internet.

I will reveal exactly where you can lay your hands on the very best guides available at the bottom of this article.

What should be considered however is that the bigger windmills for electricity, such as those that produce upto 1,000 watts will require much more effort and are generally far more complex to build compared to smaller sized windmills.

So, how many windmills will you need to build for your home requirements?

Most people build either 1 or 2 windmills for electricity as generally, they do not take up a lot of space. By building just 2 windmills, they will support the amount of electricity required in an average size home but this will of course depend on how large your home is and how much electricity you use.

Another recommendation is that for the less experienced DIY enthusiast, you should start with building smaller to medium sized windmills for electricity first before moving onto larger units.

What Types of Windmills You Can Build to power your home?

For you to be able to generate free electricity at home, a horizontal axis design is the easiest and most effective type you can build. They are designed with blades that are similar to rotary aeroplane propellers and the windmill will consist of the base, tower, rotor blades, batteries and a motor.

Building windmills for electricity is incredibly rewarding and once completed, it will provide you with a great sense of achievement and satisfaction. Not only that but consider how much you will save on your electric bill!

So, the question is, are you ready to build windmills for electricity?

Windmill Electricity - What You Need to Have to Build a Windmill

We all know that the damaging effect caused by the burning of fossil fuels is not a long term answer to providing us with a sustainable energy source.

There are a number of credible alternative green energy alternatives for home electricity that most of us are aware of. One of those is of course, the wind. There's no better alternative than harnessing the natural power of wind to generate electricity for our homes.

So, how do we use the wind to generate power?

By simply building a home windmill to convert the energy from the wind into electricity!

This is very easy to do - in fact, you will probably be pleasantly suprised how easy this actually is. Costs are minimal and most of what you will need is available from any good local hardware store.

This technology will still work regardless of your location in the world!!

What supplies will be required?

Well, here are some of the basic supplies which you will need when building a windmill:

o Metal tubing for the frame of the windmill

o Sheet metal

o 1 X 48 volt battery. Most car batteries are very well suited for home windmills.

o Electrical wiring

o A high quality build guide.

Building a windmill is a very rewarding and enjoyable project and keep in mind the money you will be saving on your utility bill. Many people successfully manage to save anything upto 80% on their electric bill every month!

Also, never overlook the environmental impact that traditional electricity producing methods have on the planet. At least you can be safe in the knowledge that you have at least made the effort and are doing your bit to help!

So, the question is, are you ready to build a windmill generator?
