PAX 2010 | InFAMOUS 2 Preview

Technology News , PAX 2010 The graphics of Infamous 2 has gone through a noticeable upgrade. The visuals are on par with Uncharted 2. Everything from the character models to the city streets is very detailed and crisp. The New Orleans inspired New Marais seemed more alive than Empire City, and Sucker Punch did an excellent job making the city look the part.
The demoPAX 2010  starts you right in the middle of action, in Technology News, as swamp monsters are terrorizing a crowd of innocent people. Cole doesn’t waste any time, as he pulls out his new melee weapon which is simply called “The Amp“. Pulling off combos with the Amp is very easy and rewarding as each hit crackles with electricity, and dynamic camera angles are thrown in to give the fight a more cinematic look. Infamous 2 still keeps the transition from normal speed to slow motion in the action sequences, which makes combat even more dramatic. Cole can hit multiple enemies with each sweep of the Amp, and even juggle them. If you are lucky you can throw in a finishing move to end your combos.

After PAX 2010 the beat down I was instructed to chase after the Limo of a man named Bertrand. He is the leader of a militia who holds a grudge against individuals with super powers. To chase him down you have to ride the electric lines of New Marais, which was half the fun of the first Infamous. The power lines you have to follow glow so you can point them out easier. The camera will also point to certain lines making it easier to find the right one , so you don’t miss a stride. PAX 2010 Cole can also ride the electric cables on the side of buildings, besides the power lines in the streets. Longest Baseball Game

Technology News : Longest Baseball Game, The Longest Baseball Game ever played got some competition last night. However, the longest baseball game ever played is still a White Sox-Brewers game from 1984. That clash was the longest MLB game in history by time,

as it went eight hours and six minutes before the White Sox won, 7-6. By innings, the Longest Baseball Game game in history is 26, between Brooklyn and Boston in 1920. Last night, the Mets and the Cardinals didn't quite reach those records, in spite of how hard they tried. But although they didn't hold the longest baseball game ever played, their 2-1 20 inning epic approached the top of the list.

Longest Baseball Game was also among the longest MLB games in history, in terms of how long it was scoreless. According to the Baseball Almanac, the most innings that ever went by without a run was 24, when the Astros beat the Mets 1-0 in 1968. However, the American League record is merely 20 scoreless innings, before the Athletics beat the Angels 1-0 in 1970.

The Mets and Cardinals marched up the Longest Baseball Game ever played record book, as they went into the 19'th tied at 0-0. But after both teams finally scored in the 19'th, the Mets got one more run on a sacrifice fly by Jose Reyes. Six hours and 53 minutes after the first pitch, the Mets got out with a 2-1 win.

The Mets have made a habit of playing some of the Longest Baseball Game games in history. Along with the 1968 Astros game, they were in the longest National League game ever, when they lost a seven hour, 23 minute, 23 inning epic to the Giants. Last night wasn't even the Longest Baseball Game ever played between the Mets and Cardinals, as they went 24 innings together in 1974.

Technology News : Today on preGame we pick out a nice suit and get our hands dirty with a live demo of Mafia II.
But first, we'll take an in-depth look at the trailer to last week's announcement of a brand-new BioShock game, BioShock Infinite. Does the game take place in the same universe as the original? Will there be Big Daddies in Infinite? Join us as we tackle some of the big questions raised from the thrilling video.

A ton of gaming news to hit today, so we round up the major stories including Mass Effect 2 coming to the PlayStation 3. We figured we'd never see Commander Shepard on Sony's console, but word comes that the intergalactic space action/drama will see a PS3 release in January 2011.

Speaking of Sony, the company announced some major console bundle news today, including details of a $400 320GB PS3 with a Move controller, PlayStation Eye camera, Sports Champions, and a Blu-ray disc featuring more Move demos. The Move bundle will be available when PlayStation Move releases September 19. In the meantime, a "core" 160GB PS3-only model is now shipping to stores for $300.
